Pharmacy technicians call for inclusion of course diploma in College curriculum

The Provost Rivers State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Dr Franklin Nlerum has urged the National Association of Pharmacy Technicians to present a proposal for the inclusion of Pharmacy Technicians in National Diploma and Higher National Diploma of the College.

Dr Nlerum stated in his Office on Tuesday during the Courtesy visit of the body today.

He assured the association that he will present their proposals when available to the Management of the College and to National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) for accreditation.

The Association of Pharmacy Technicians of Nigeria led by Father B. L. Kaanale had called on the Provost Rivers State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology to include National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in the College’s Curriculum.

Mr Kaanale added that the introduction of the Diploma programme Will reduce the burden of students from the state who travel far to acquire such Certificates, adding that graduates from the programme will create jobs thereby reducing youths restiveness.
