The Media Awards Gears Up For 2nd Edition, Calls For Nominations.

The 2nd Edition of The Media Awards is gradually drawing near, and preparations are in full gear.

In 2018, a long conceived idea to celebrate and honour media excellence and social impact came to life.

The organisers of this prestigious awards, led by Communications & Media entrepreneur, Osaze Isesele, is poised to consistently celebrate media excellence in society as well as outstanding individuals immensely making an impact in the advancement and development of society.

It is evident in Nigeria and around the world that the media is powerful and its impact on society cannot be overemphasised as policymakers both in the public and private sectors, financial institutions, business support organisations and more are judiciously employing it for the economic prosperity of the nation.

Every year, The Media Awards central working committee meet to evaluate the nominations sent in by the general public to vet and pick individuals with the highest nomination, who then make up the nominees list to be finally scrutinised and selected by The Media Awards Independent Global Advisory Board.

This year the nomination will run from Monday 19th August to 19th September 2019.

Notable highlights of this year’s edition are special recognition categories for social impact changemakers and special fundraising to support the United Nations Sustainable Development goal number 4 which is education by providing books for five public schools in the south of Nigeria.

The organisers are calling on organisations and brands to partner with them in making this year’s edition a success.
