Breaking: Nigerian Prisons Service changes name to correctional service

Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, signed the Nigerian Correctional Service Bill into law.

The Act has also repealed the Nigerian Prisons Service Act.

Ita Enang, a former senator representing Akwa Ibom State and Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly, revealed the development to State House correspondents in Abuja on Wednesday.
 
Enang said that with the signing, Nigerian Prisons Service would henceforth be called the Nigerian Correctional Service.
