The people of Obumeze, Obele and Osigboko communities in Ahoada-East local government area have been re-assured that the alleged marginalization by the Niger-Delta Petroleums Resources NDPR will soon be addressed in the area.
The Chairman adhoc committee set up by the Rivers State House of Assembly, Major Jack, gave the assurance during an oversight function to the affected communities of the area.
Major Jack who is also the deputy Chief Whip of the house said the committee in its fact finding mission visited the communities to get first hand information from the affected communities based on the petition file over the alleged marginalization by NDPR.
Jack, who is the lawmaker representing Akuku-Toru constituency I promised to invite NDPR and the affected communities in a town hall meeting to find a lasting solution to their suffering.
Some of the community women said they have been impoverish and marginalized following the absence of basic amenities like, schools , water, light and road.
