Vigilante, cult group clash in Rivers Community

Cultists and Rundele Odegu Security & Peace Advisory Council, ROSPAC, on Monday, exchanged gunfire at Ndele Community.

ROSPAC, an imitation of OSPAC was set up to stamp out cultism and criminality in the area which has resulted in kidnapping and killings along the Emohua axis of the East-West Road.

This comes days after a clash between the security group and Deegbam cultists in the community resulted in the death of at least 7 persons while 5 houses were burnt.

Not casualty was reported during the shootout but properties worth millions were reportedly destroyed during the clash.

Our correspondent reports that the clash forced residents to flee the community.
