Events To Attend In Port Harcourt This Weekend

The weekend is here and we are ready for it. Dear Harcourtians, because ThePortCityNews loves you so much, we intend for you to always have a lit, stress-free, relaxing and fabulous weekend.

Depending on what your vibe is, there are a series of events in Port Harcourt to suit your tribe.

Here are the events for this weekend and they promise to be educating, stress-relieving, entertaining and all things fun.

1. Port Harcourt Cancer Walk

The Port Harcourt Cancer Walk is organized by project Pink Blue – a health and psychological Trust Centre.

The purpose of this event is to create awareness about cancer, encourage early detection in order to prevent the occurrence of avoidable deaths and also provide free counselling.

The event is set to start by 10:00 am on Saturday, 27th of July with a five-kilometre walk at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium Elekahia.

The event which is tagged ‘choke cancer’ features other activities like free cancer screening, aerobics, games, skating, bike riding, cycling, entertainment and a host of other activities.

This event is supported by Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation (ACT) and Dana Air.

2. Cool Wazobia Food Fair

Where are the food lovers in Port Harcourt? This event is definitely for you! What can be better than a weekend spent with friends and good food?

The Cool Wazobia food fair is slated to hold on Saturday, the 27th day of July at the NTA field Mgbuoba road.

There will be music and comedy from your favourite Port Harcourt artists. Just get ready to eat, play games, dance, laugh and meet with your favourite OAPs.

If you don’t want to be met with an empty plate, ensure you get there by 11:00 am.

3. 2nd Service With Mudiaga

A weekend in Port Harcourt can not be said to be complete without a little laugh and music.

There is nothing as good as a good laugh on a Sunday evening. Gather your family and friends on the 28th of July to the Glass House, Rumuola Stadium link road.

Comedians like Gordons, Dan D Humorous, Arinze Baba, Buchi, Ko Baba and a host of other artists.

Red carpet by 4:00 pm, the event proper is by 5:00 pm.
