Breaking: Wike gives traditional ruler one week to make peace

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Friday has given the Paramount Ruler of Choba community, Eze Raymond Okocha, one week to reconcile and make peace with all aggrieved persons in the community in order to forestall a repeat of the killings in Choba.

Choba has seen a spike in intra-community clashes over what analysts termed the leadership style of the elites.

The violence came to a towering height when the Community Development Committee, CDC, chairman and a chief priest in the community were killed on Sunday morning.

The killings forced a record number of persons to relocated from the community as fears heightened on of a retaliatory attack.
