‘Rivers State sees more thanksgiving services than economic and security meetings’ – Bura-Bari

Bura-Bari Nwilo, the author of the novel, “The Colour Of A Thing Believed” said on Tuesday that the state sees more thanksgiving services than economic and security meetings.

The social critic while reacting to a thanksgiving service by the Rivers State Governor after a judgment of the Supreme Court dismissed a suit challenging his eligibility to contest the 2019 gubernatorial election, said humans drop dead easily while the governor feels less concerned.

His tweet comes on the heels of a statement attributed to the the state governor, Nyesom Wike, where he said on Tuesday that the state is safe.

According to Wike “The Former Minister of Transportation said Rivers State is not safe, but he celebrated his birthday here. The letter Former President Olusegun Obasanjo wrote was not because of Rivers State. But Amaechi is saying Rivers State is not safe.

“All the companies are drilling oil and Nigeria is making money from Rivers State. So Rivers State is safe. I am here and I am here. It is the way God wants it.

But Nwilo thought otherwise.

He twitted “Rivers State sees more thanksgiving services than economic and security meetings and that’s why humans drop dead easily from gun shots or machetes cuts”
