Adeosun set to take over as new Army Chief.

Maj. Gen. Lamidi Adeosun has been appointed the new Chief of Army Staff.

Adeosun who until his latest appointment was the chief of Training and Operations, replaces Lt General Tukor Buratai.

He was last week presented with the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Award by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo during the grand Finale of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration in Lagos, Blueeprint reports.

The award was based on his outstanding performing in effective designing operational guidelines used in operation lafiya dole and other military operations across the country.

Blueprint Correspondent reporta that Adesun was a former Theater Commander Operation Lafiya Dole and Commander Multinational Joint Task Force (MJTF) with headquarters in Republic of Chad.

Many of his colleagues had described him as a workaholic General who always visit troops in the front lines and that he is also loved among both soldiers and officers for his love towards their welfare when he was in the command of Operation Lafiya Dole and MJTF as well as Chief of Training and Operations.
