Burna Boy is said to be having a great year since 2018. With him winning four awards at the beginning of the year at the SoundCity MVP Awards, and release of two singles by the half of the year, and his performance at Coachella, we are not surprised at his emergence as the winner of the BET Awards Best International Act.
He was nominated alongside five other artists; MR. Eazi – Nigeria, AKA – South Africa, Aya Nakamura – France, Dave – U.K, Dosseh – France, Giggs – U.K.
His Mother, Bose Ogulu, who is also his manager received the award on his behalf and made an iconic speech.
