Court remands man in prison for raping school girl in Ahoada

A 35 years old Frank Olusele has been remanded in prison by a magistrate court sitting in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers state for unlawfully raping a 13-years-old girl, at Ihuaba community.

The suspect was said to have forcefully defiled the little girl at about 9:00 am, Monday, 10th of June, on her way to school.

Frank Olusele was arraigned in court by the Rivers State Police Command and he is facing an offence punishable under section 218 of the criminal code cap 37 Laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.

The Cheif Magistrate Harry- Ayirite adjourned the case to 25th August and remanded the suspect in prison custody.

Counsel to the victim and International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA rep, Antonia Osademe, who spoke to our reporter Tina Amanda, condemned the act stressing that it is wickedness for the suspect to rape a child and ruptured her Vagina, which led to her bleeding for days while admitted in a hospital.

Osademe said further that FIDA Rivers will fight to ensure that the suspect is prosecuted for the crime he committed against the innocent little girl.
