The Amayanabo of Kula Kingdom and Chairman of Kula Council of Traditional Rulers, Dr Kuruma Eleki has charged youths of the area to join hands in ensuring that the peace in the kingdom is sustained.
The Amayanabo gave the charge while inaugurating the newly elected twelve-member executive committee of Kula Youth Organization led by Hon Ekine Japus in his palace.
The Kula monarch, who administered the oath of office on the youth executives, expressed satisfaction that the Kula community was able to conduct a proper and successful election that saw the emergence of executives to pilot the affairs of the youths.
He advised the youth executives to cooperate and work in synergy with the various stakeholders of the kingdom to achieve their set goals and objectives.
In his acceptance speech, President of Kula Youth Organization, Hon Ekine Japus pledged his total commitment to work for the interest of the community and upliftment of the youths of Kula Kingdom.
The Kula Youth Organization President also promised to focus on three key areas of reorientation, education, and employment for the youths of Kula Kingdom.
He stated that the youth body will not disappoint Kula people.
Earlier, the Vicar of Faith Anglican Church, Kula Archdeaconry, Rev Iyaye E. Victor during a Dedication and Thanksgiving Service, prayed for God’s protection, inspiration and peaceful administration of the youth body.
Rev Iyaye Victor also urged the executives of the Kula Youth Organization to be focused and work for the development of Kula Kingdom to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Our correspondent reports that The Kula Council of Chiefs, present, and past the leadership of the Kula Community Development Committee (CDC), immediate past President of the youth organization, women groups among other community leaders witnessed the ceremony, signalling general acceptance of Hon Ekine Japus led Kula youth executives.
