Video: Legendary rapper, Rugged Man beaten up in a London restaurant.

Legendary rapper and hip hop icon, Rugged Man was beaten up by four men in a London restaurant last night.

The rapper who has been championing anti-yahoo yahoo campaign was alleged to have been beaten up by fans of Naira Marley who was released from the detention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday after being arrested for alleged involvement in Internet fraud.

Rugged Man was alleged to have written the petition that led to the arrest of Naira Marley after his attempts to advise the upcoming act against glorifying fraud was met with insults by Marley.

The spat between Rugged Man and Marley sparked off weeks of discourse on social media with other acts like singer Simi and ace comedian, Ali Baba, taking sides with RuggedyBaba.

There have been accusations in some quarters that most artists in Lagos are into Internet fraud. This, it was said, was the reason why they glorified fraudsters in their songs.

The trend was exposed last year by designer, Nobel Igwe, who accused most artists of engaging in fraud to power their expensive lifestyles.

Rugged Man later tweeted that he was alright, thanking fans for the love they showed him.
