Tragedy befell the AseAzaga community in Ndoni Town of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers State on Wednesday as a husband and wife were killed by unknown gunmen.
Community source said they discovered blood stains along the path that led to the couple’s home (names withheld) , adding that the discovery raised suspicion that forced the locals into constituting a search party to search for the couple after they were not found in their home.
He said that the bodies were discovered, dumped at the river bank, adding that the breasts, head and other vital organs of the wife were removed by the assailants while the husband’s body was riddled with bullets.
He said that the incident was reported to the police for proper investigation but however, stressed that the killings heightened fear in community.
