Parent, caregivers and guardians have been called upon to nurture and train their children as stakeholders in nation building.
The Chairperson, International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Antonia Osademe, made this call while commemorating the 2019 Children’s Day celebration with the 3rd edition of FIDA Rivers Spelling Bee competition organised for public primary schools in Port Harcourt with the theme: “Nurturing our Children as stakeholders in Nation Building”
According to her, children should be brought up with a sense of responsibility, making them to understand that they have vital roles to play in the society.
The FIDA Chairperson stressed that such training will disassociate the children from the ills of the modern day trends.
She stressed that exposing Children to the skills of pronunciation and knowledge sharing will help them to improve academically.
