Unknown gunmen have killed and beheaded one Brother Jude, popularly known as Dollar Boy in Bori, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The assailants numbering about three waylaid the deceased, inflicting machete cuts on him before they severed his head.
This comes as waves of cult-related killings in the state are winding down owing to a crackdown of criminals by security agents.
Although the rationale behind the recent killing is not yet ascertained, sources say it might be cult-related.
Friends say Dollar Boy was an easy going man who shied away from trouble and wondered why such fate befell him.
The police who were called to the scene evacuated the remains to the mortuary.
