Phone thieves shoot undergraduate dead in Port Harcourt


An undergraduate student of Ignatius Ajuru University, UOE, Abraham Dandy Horsefall, has been shot and killed by suspected phone thieves.

Horsefall who hails from Buguma in Asari-Toru local government area of Rivers State was a final year student in the Department of Economics was shot dead by unknown gunmen in the process of stealing his mobile phone.

The incident, theportcitynews learnt, happened on Sunday at the Rumuolumeni campus of the university.

Friends say the deceased who struggled with the assailants before he was shot, was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.

He has been buried in his hometown amidst emotional farewell from parents, friends and other relatives.
