The incident happened in Ebiriba II community of the Local Government Area.

The mentally challenged man identified as Eligwe Okechukwu was said to have hacked his first son while his wife who could not bear the gory scene absconded with her other children.

A community source told theportcitynews that Eligwe butchered his elder brother Mr Modhiochukwu Okechukwu in a fight on Monday.

The source who didn’t want to be named said that some youths of the community got hold of him, tied him with a rope and kept him in his own home.

He said that Eligwe later went berserk, after his wife untied him few hours later.

The source said that he armed himself with a carpenter’s bar which he used to attack the villagers.

Our source explained that Eligwe barged into the house of Mr.Akin Chukwutu, father of the deceased children and hit the minors with the bar resulting in their instant death.

He later used a cutlass he saw in the room to cut off their heads which he carried in bucket to his house.

It was also gathered that Eligwe also killed one Mr. Peter Green on his way back home.
