A group campaigning against the menace of black soot in Port Harcourt has appeal to the world to shun political correctness and call on the United Nations & World Health Organisation to declare a Health & Environmental Emergency in Rivers State as people dying from continuous inhalation of soot.
Eugene Abels, Convener of the Campaign against soot in Port Harcourt said that the menace of the black substance on the health of residents of the state has led to deaths and called for swifter action in handling the environmental and health damage caused by the lingering soot.
