The draws ceremony for the 2019 AFCON will take place today in Cairo, Egypt.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are among the top-seeded teams placed in Pot 1 for the draw alongside, host Egypt, Tunisia, Senegal, Morocco, and defending champions Cameroon.
Nigeria may get a tricky draw following the draw procedures released by CAF on Thursday as they look like to face perennial rivals Ghana or Cote d’Ivoire who are in Pot 2.
Other countries in Pot 2 are; Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Guinea, and Algeria
Pot C consists of South Africa and some of the continent’s dark forces; Uganda, Benin, Mauritania, Madagascar, Kenya.
Tanzania, who are managed by former Nigeria international Emmanuel Amuneke are placed in Pot D along with the quintet of; Zimbabwe, Namibia, Guinea Bissau, Angola and Burundi.
The draw ceremony which will hold at Gaza, near Cairo will kick-off at 7 pm Nigerian time today.
In the meantime, Super Eagles coordinator Patrick Paschal says the team will be ready to face any team in the competition.
The Super Eagles are making a return to the AFCON finals after missing out on the last two editions of the tournament.
Patrick Pascal said the 24 teams in the tournament are potential favourites to lift the title.
The Super Eagles who are currently ranked 42nd in the world and third in Africa defeated host nation Egypt in a friendly game last month in Asaba.
However, the coach of the side Gernot Rohr has insisted that the Super Eagles are not among the favourites to win the 2019 African Cup of Nations AFCON in Egypt.
