The road to another 4-year term in office seems clear for the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike as he maintains a comfortable lead ahead of his closest rival, Awara Biakpomabo of the African Action Congress.
So far, results of 15 local government areas have been declared with Wike polling a total of 426, 279 votes against the AAC candidate’s 129, 328.
With 15 Local Government Areas collated and declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) for the Rivers State Governorship Election, Rivers State Governor and PDP Governorship Candidate, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is coasting to victory.
The State’s Returning Officer and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Federal University, Otuoke, Prof Teddy Adias have announced that the Collation and Declaration will resume on Wednesday by 10 am.
The Local Government Areas already collated include PHALGA, Ikwerre, Andoni, Oyigbo, Eleme, Akuku Toru, Opobo/Nkoro, Omuma, Okirika, Bonny, Emohua, ONELGA, Etche, Ahoada East and Tai.
The Peoples Democratic Party has won 13 local government areas out of 15 local government results collated at the Rivers state Independent National Electoral Commission Collation Center.

Full supplementary elections will hold in Gokana and Abua/Odua on the 13th of April.
