Breaking: Police teargas APC, PDP supporters, disperse protests in Port Harcort

Members of the All Progressives Congress Protesting the fallout of the gubernatorial election in Rivers State have been dispersed by the police.

Similarly, members of the Peoples Democratic Party who were protesting the lack of declaration of the guber results were also teargassed by the police.

The police invaded the Polo Club in GRA where PDP and APC supporters were gathered for the resumption of their protests and dispersed them.

The Rivers State government on Thursday placed a ban on public protests but the APC said that the ban is against their fundamental rights as citizens.

The APC members are calling for the redeployment of the Rivers INEC REC, Obo Effanga. They accused the REC of plotting to subvert the will of the people.

The PDP members are, however, calling on INEC to declare the results of the suspended guber election.
