2018 Rivers SWAN Awards to hold on March 29th

The Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria Rivers State chapter will hold her 2018 Awards ceremony in Port Harcourt on Friday 29th of March 2019.

The Awards which are in various categories are aimed at recognizing individuals who have contributed to the promotion and development of sports in Rivers State, and recognition of SWAN Rivers Members who have excelled in sports journalism over the years and we’re particularly outstanding in 2018.

The list of categories for the forthcoming SWAN Rivers awards ceremony include:

1. Sports writer of the year (Print)

2. Sports Presenter of the year (Radio)

3. Sports Presenter of the year (TV)

4. Sports Editor of the year.

5. Grassroots sportswriter of the year.

6. Sports Photographer of the year.

7. Sports Blogger of the year.

8. Sports Analyst of the year (Broadcast Media)

The 2018 Awards ceremony will be chaired by Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka (Owolo), MON, JP.

Also the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, POS Africa, will be the Special Guest of Honour while Bro. Felix Obuah, founder Go-Round Football Club of Omoku and Boma Iyaye, the Honourable Commissioner of Sports Rivers, will be the Guests of Honour,

The ceremony holds at the Landmark Hotel D/line Port Harcourt, by 5.30PM.
