Soldiers arrest Wike’s aide

Soldiers from the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, have arrested a special assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

The aide to Governor Wike, Marshall Obuzor was arrested in the early hours of Saturday for a yet to be identified offence.

Obuzor’s arrest comes days after soldiers began cracking down on chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The Commissioner of Education in Rivers State, Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, was on Wednesday abducted from his home by soldiers.

The soldiers alleged that the commissioner was meeting with thugs before the military invaded his premises.

However, a CCTV footage proved the allegations wrong.

However, the Army, in a statement by the army spokesman, said that the invasion will be investigated
