#Nigeriadecides Breaking: Soldiers shoot man dead in Rivers State

Soldiers from the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army have reportedly shot one Thywill Dabotubo dead on Saturday morning.

Theportcitynews gathered from local sources that the incident happened at Abonnema.

Locals told theportcitynews that soldiers drafted to the area imposed movement restrictions, adding that Mr Dabotubo refused to obey instructions given to him by one of the soldiers who then shot him twice.

Another source said attempts to resuscitate the victim failed as he died few minutes later.

Theportcitynews could not immediately verify the identity of the soldiers as a text message sent to the military and police authorities in Port Harcourt for reactions over the killing were not immediately responded to at press time.
