AGN Wades Into Rivers Crisis

…. Appoints three Member Interim Committee

The National Secretariat of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, (AGN) has waded into the issues currently destabilizing the Rivers State chapter of the Association.

In a notice made available to theportcitynews in Port Harcourt and signed by the National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas, the AGN National Secretariat said Freddy Ndigbara, a founding member of the Guild in the state will serve as Chairman.

The statement also noted that Rev. Canon Umegbewe Jerome is to serve as the secretary while Barr. Doris Megwa is also to serve on the committee.

According to the National Secretariat, the committee shall have the main duty of bringing all members together and ensure that peace returns to the State chapter of the Association among others.

Meanwhile, it was noted that the Satellite Coordinators are hereby dissolved, the notice added while emphasizing that the state (AGNEC) the electoral body of the association, is also dissolved forthwith.

The Interim Committee has three months to deliver on its mandate, the national President added.
