Etche needs industries not guns – Lulu-Briggs

The gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Part, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs has emphasised that the people of Etche ethnic nationality deserve industries and other befitting infrastructures that would enhance rapid development.

Speaking at the gubernatorial campaign rally held in Etche local government on Saturday 9th February, 2019, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs promised to stop the youths’ restiveness by ensuring that arms are retrieved from most youths in the ethnic region.

Also, he reiterated the readiness of the Accord Party to ensure that the Etche Nation is developed more than it is. This he said informed the decision of the party to zone the Senatorial slot to the ethnic nationality knowing full well that it is the only LGA yet to produce a Senator for the Senatorial district.

In his remark, Senatorial candidate of the party for the Rivers East senatorial district, Barrister Azubuike Nwuke, who hails from Okomoko in Ethce local government area thanked the people of Etche for their solidarity and encouragement towards ensuring that Etche has a fair share of representation at the Senate. He further promised to pass bills that will enhance the rapid development of Etche ethnic nationality.

Highlight of the event was the blessing of the gubernatorial candidate by the Paramount Ruler of Omuma kingdom, HRH Eze M.I. Ojiegbe and the elders of Omuma.
