Wike, Lulu-Briggs absent at Rivers Guber debate

Rivers State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Nyesom Wike and his Accord Party’s counterpart, Dumo Lulu-Briggs were absent at the Rivers State gubernatorial debate.

The debate which took place at the Hub Event centre on Thursday had the candidates of African Democratic, Eniye Braide; Action Democratic Party, Victor Fingesi; Labour Party, Isaac Wonwu and Social Democratic Party, Precious Elekina in attendance.

The debate which was organized by the British Broadcasting Commission, BBC, Pidgin was scheduled for the candidates to inform the electorates of their plans and how to move the state forward.

Governor Wike and Lulu-Briggs did not, however, explain the reasons for their absence even though the organizers said the due were duly invited.
