Lulu-Briggs couldn’t successfully operate a dance club but he wants to be governor – Wike

The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has said the gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party, Dumo Lulu-Briggs does not understand development processes.

The governor was reacting to claims by Lulu-Briggs that the projects carried out in the state by the Wike’s administration have not created jobs or impacted meaningfully on the lives of the people.

According to Briggs: “Our people have been impoverished and traumatized, leaving a large segment of the population poor and homeless; the elderly are abandoned; the majority of our youths are jobless and a large percentage of our children are out of school. Our people are made to see crumbs as real meals, but it has not always been this way

“Forget Mr Projects. That has not saved you from being in Nigeria’s poverty capital. You should now deal with Mr Jobs because I have come to create jobs and wealth.”

But Wike said on Thursday at Ahoada-West during a rally of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that his administration has done well in ensuring that all the 23 local government areas of the state get dividends of democracy.

Wike who referred to Briggs as ‘perpetual governorship aspirant’ said the billionaire businessman does not understand the development processes.

He said the Governorship Candidate of Accord Party couldn’t successfully operate a dance club, hence he has no business contesting the position of a governor.
