Two persons feared dead, many injured in Lagos trailer crash

At least two people have died in a trailer accident at Cele bus stop, along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos.

The accident involved a 40-foot container-laden truck which rammed into a 14-seater bus along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. The unfortunate incident claimed the lives of two middle-aged men, while others were severely injured.

While the actual extent of the fatality is yet to be determined, injured persons have been rushed out of the road for medical attention.

Eyewitnesses told The Guardian that the trailer heading from Mile2 road to Oshodi while trying to circumvent the gridlock on its lane took a one-way lane and ran into pedestrians.

The victims are yet to be identified.
