‘I was stopping someone from getting raped’ – Davido reacts to PH concert disruption (Pictures)

Pop sensation, David Adeleke ‘Davido’ has claimed the reason the Sunday concert in Port Harcourt was disrupted because he was stopping someone from getting rapped.

Davido headlined an annual concert in Port Harcourt on Sunday tagged “Plugged” but Davido called off the concert when the crowd became impossible to manage.

Reekado Banks endured while items were being thrown at him while on stage during the concert.

Concert goers claimed girls were raped while several phones were stolen. They also claimed that several acts of violence were recorded due to the fact that security was poor just as the crowd was badly managed.

Live video records showed fans climbing on the tail of the stage while Davido was performing, forcing the star to periodically stop the show to enable security deal with the situation.

However, the show was called off when the situation became unbearable and the crowd became impossible to manage.

But reacting in a comment on a post by Instablog9ja, Davido said the concert was disrupted because he was stopping someones from getting raped.

He added that ” If being over excited when a king is performing is disruptive then so be it”
