Police arrest man for killing pregnant girlfriend in Port Harcourt

Police in Rivers State says it has arrested one Prince Owabie from Rumueperikom community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area for killing and burying his pregnant girlfriend in his apartment.

The deceased identified as Better Nwabueze was said to be living with the suspect inside his one-room apartment close to Wimpy Junction.

Theportcitynews gathered from police sources that the suspect was arrested on Tuesday following a tip-off by concerned residents after the suspect confessed to some of his friends about the killing which was said to have occurred on Sunday.

A police source who spoke to theportcitynews said the suspect has been moved to the State Criminal Investigative Department while security has been deployed to the area to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
