Women protest against killings in Rivers State

Women in Rivers State, took to the streets to protest the rising spate of killings in the state.

The protest was aimed to draw the government’s and security agents attention to the everyday killings by gunmen in the state.

The protesters displayed placards with inscriptions like “Wike, must politics be about blood” and “13 thousand jobs now 13 thousand gun”

They matched through Aba road down to Azikiwe road, calling on the Nyesom Wike-led administration in the to work with security agencies to stem the ugly tides of gun violence and renewed killings in the state.
