Breaking: Fire guts properties worth millions in Tourist Beach Port Harcourt

Properties Worth thousands of naira have been raised down by fire in Tourist beach area in the old Port-Harcourt township.

Eyewitnesses said all the property belonging to every member of the building was raised down by fire.

They said the fire incident was as a result of carelessness on the part of one of the tenants in that building who lit a stove and went out to buy something.

Meanwhile one of the affected persons who allegedly caused the fire said she went out to buy what her children will eat around 12 am of this morning.

Our correspondent reports that all efforts to reach the state firefighters proved abortive, while youths of the area resulted in self-help in putting off the fire from extending to other buildings in the area.
