An aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Etche Constituency 2, Hon Reggy Mike, has formally dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was gathered that the decision of the House of Assembly aspirant for the 2019 elections may not be unconnected to what some of his supporters described as high-handedness in his former party. It was gathered that Hon. Reggy, as he is popularly called was one of the aspirants told to bury his ambition for the main time in order for the incumbent assembly member go for a second tenure.
Worthy of note is the fact that until his defection, Hon. Reggy, was a close ally to Chief (Hon) Ephraim Nwuzi, who is a strong ally of Governor Wike. Moreso, Hon. Reggy, hails from Igbo 1 ward 3 in Etche local government area which has one of the highest voting strengths in the LGA.
In his reaction, Hon. Reggy Mike promised to work for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forth coming general elections. He also opined that despite the challenges bedeviling the APC, he believes that they will come out stronger than have been in other to defeat the incumbent governor come 2019.
He further urged his supporters to show him the love and loyalty as they had done in time past as he believes he will not be a second fiddle in his new found political family.
