RSSDA vs RVG: Court adjourns to November 13 for mention

The National industrial court Port Harcourt has adjourned to November 13 for mention, the case between workers of The Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) and Rivers State Government.

The workers are praying the National Industrial Court to compel the state government to pay them the 3 years salaries and allowances.

Counsel to RSSDA, Isa Saido, said the absence of representatives of the Rivers State Government in court was the reason why the matter was adjourned till the 13th of November.

According to Saido “The matter came up for mention for the first time and was consequently adjourned to the 13th day of November 2018 for further mention due to the absence of the respondents and their counsel.

“The court in the interest of justice and fair hearing adjourned the matter for further mention to enable them to participate in the procedure.

“The applicants are employees of Rivers State government and Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency who have not been paid salary since 2015 till date and that is why we are in court.”
