I regret supporting Amaechi – City Nwanyawu

Kas Worgu

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State and the embattled APC youth leader in Etche local government has described as regrettable, his earlier support for the minister of transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

City Nwanyanwu described the minister as someone who is insensitive to the plights of the party members.

Nwanyanwu who is the youth leader of the All Progressives Congress in Etche local government area, as well as an embattled councillor sacked by the Governor Wike’s administration, said some people lost their lives defending the minister but he has chosen to abandon them.

Speaking to some supporters on Wednesday, Nwanyanwu maintained that he regretted defending and joining the minister to the APC in 2015.

He further said “Amaechi has no respect for man and God… He passionately hates the progress of another man”

You would recall that the embattled councillors in the state had been given hope that their seats were going to be reclaimed by the court which has failed to see the light of the day.

Speaking further, Nwanyanwu maintained that the best candidate to defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state is Senator Magnus Abe who has had a face-off with the minister of Transportation due to his ambition.

He reiterated his support for Senator Abe and urged his supporters not to be shaken as Senator Abe will emerge victoriously.

He, however, frowned at the negligence by the minister of Transportation when he said “Look at how many houses that were burnt down in the cause of defending him? Look at those who lost their lives in the cause of his struggle?

“He never asked, never cared”
