Rival cultists behead one in Emohua

A 28-year-old man has been beheaded in a cult-related clash at Isiodu community in Emohua local government area of Rivers State.

The incident which happened on Saturday was said to have thrown the community into crisis.

Theportcitynews gathered that series of cult clashes have rocked some communities in Emohua local government in recent months resulting in multitude of killings and beheadings.

A community source told theportcitynews that the killing at Isiodu was a spillover from similar clashes in the neighbouring Ngbuintanwo community.

The source said that some of the cultists who ran to Isiodu from Ngbuintanwo community began causing chaos and disorder leading to the recent killing.

According to the source, the victim was on his way back from a relaxation joint when he was attacked by rival gang members who beheaded him on the spot.

He said that the attack happened in the open, in the presence of everyone but that no one could help as the attackers were armed with guns and cutlasses.
