APC Will Lose Rivers State – Odike

…….Abe weighs APGA option

The last has not been heard of the crises rocking the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has taken a decision to accept the result of the gubernatorial primaries of Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree-led faction with Tonye Cole as the authentic gubernatorial flag bearer of the party.

This is coming at a time that the Prince Peter Odike faction which produced Senator Magnus Abe as its gubernatorial candidate had boasted to their supporters that Senator Magnus Abe will surely emerge victorious.

Speaking to theportcitynews on Friday, the factional chairman of the party, Prince Peter Odike, maintained that the Rivers APC is headed for doom and the NWC of the party does not wish for the party in Rivers State to win elections come 2019 due to its choice of an unpopular candidate that does not understand the dynamics of Rivers politics.

He further threatened to sue the party to court if it does not rescind its decision.

Meanwhile, some teaming supporters of Senator Magnus Abe across the 23 LGAs have described the decision as a misguided one and therefore called on President Buhari to do the needful before it is too late.

Some, however, are of the opinion that Senator Abe should move his supporters to another party, preferably the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and reclaim what they described as ‘his stolen mandate’.
