The APC governorship aspirant in Rivers state, Senator Magnus Abe says he will not take part in the governorship primaries if the party fails to adopt direct primaries.
Senator Abe said this at a mega rally in Wiyakara in khana local government Area today.
The senator said he will not participate in the governorship election as far as indirect primaries is adopted.
“how can a party that preaches change and transparency fall to indirect primaries… I won’t take part if they still choose to do so.” He said.
Senator Magnus Abe also reiterated that he is not working or collaborating with governor Wike.
“How can I work with someone who does not have the people of Rivers state at heart.”
Earlier, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, had said his aspiration to contest the 2019 governorship election should not be seen as a source of any problem to anybody.
He said this during a courtesy call to the amanyabo of Kalabari, King TJT Princewill in his palace in Buguma.
He accused Minister of Transportation Rt. Chibuike Amaechi of planning to cause problem between the people of Ogoni and Kalabari.
The senator representing Rivers south east senatorial district at the National Assembly also reiterated that he is not against any Kalabari son that desire to contest.
