The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries OPM Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has distributed free beverages to pupils of OPM free school.
Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere while distributing the beverages said the essence is for the pupils to have their breakfast at home before coming to school.
He said that many children do not eat before coming to school because their parents have nothing to give to them.
Chibuzor Chinyere stated that eating breakfast before coming to school will make the pupils to concentrate very well at school.
”First we started by giving them lunch every afternoon when they come to school, but remember many of them are from less privileged homes, many of them do not have food to eat at home, so we decided to give them these beverages and noodles for them to have breakfast at home before coming to school, he said.
Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere also called on other Christian denomination to open free schools for the less privileged ones in the society rather than building expensive schools which church members cannot afford.
He noted that the OPM free school is mainly for the poor from all Christian denominations including Muslims.
Some parents who were present at the event commended the General Overseer of OPM for the beverages and noodles.
They said that the items have reduced the huge burden of providing breakfast for their children
