Wike’s commissioner resigns, defects to APC

Greg Nwiyedam, Commissioner for Local Government Service Commission has resigned from his post on Friday.

Theportcitynews gathered that Nwiyedam subsequently defected to the All Progressive Congress in Khana local government where he was welcomed by the Ojukaye Flag-Amachree led executive.

The leader of the Nyesom Wike Solidarity Group called the development shocking, adding that the former commissioner defected to the APC despite the good works of Governor Wike in Khana local government.

Nwiyedam is the 2nd official under the Governor Wike-led administration to resign in the past one week while a total of 5 have resigned in the past months including Austin Tam-George who has since defected to the APC.
