Meanwhile in Abia state, residents are all observing the sit-at-home order by IPOB as noncompliance attracts punishment such as burning of cars or locking of shops.
Some of the residents in an interview with our correspondent lamented that the sit-at-home order has not help them in anyway because most of them use the weekend to sell to most of their customers who come from other states.
They said: you cannot force someone to sit at home, i understand we have to do this as a way of giving respect to those who died during the Biafran war and also those who have lost their lives in the process, but it should not be mandatory, those who want to go about their normal businesses should be allowed while those who truly want to observe the sit-at order would do so out of their own willingness.
The Portcitynews reports that only few people were seen moving around as there was total calm in the state.
