Cultists kill rival in Emohua

Hoodlums said to be cult members on Thursday, killed a 28-year-old man in Emohua local government area.

The incident occurred in Egbeda community of the local government.

The victim was alleged to be a member of the deadly Icelanders cult group notorious for killing and beheading victims in the area.

He was gruesomely killed by yet-to-be-identified attackers and his corpse dumped in a bush.

Sources in the community who spoke to theportcitynews said the recent wave of killings has thrown the community into fear as such killings usually lead to reprisal attacks by rival cult groups.

According to them, security agencies have done little to abate the killings, stressing that in August, over ten persons were murdered in similar circumstances.

Although the police command said they have not been informed about the new development, locals said they have reported the matter to the local police headquarters.
