APC has no platform in Rivers State – Wike

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike stated that the All Progressives Congress does not have a platform in the state upon which they can campaign and present governorship candidate for 2019 general elections.

Governor Wike, in an interview at government house, said those purportedly gearing up to feature anybody to contest against him will fail.

According to him, the federal government has not done anything for the APC in Rivers State boast of saying that the APC in the state has not achieved anything to give them an impetus to contemplate featuring in any election in the State.

He pointed out that the APC federal government abandoned federal roads, the airport and seaports in the State and because APC does not believe in credible polls, it is gearing up to take the state by all means with its rigging plan with support from soldiers, SARS, and the DSS.

The governor explained that as a former minister of State for education, he contributed to the development of Rivers State with projects scattered across the state and challenged the current minister of transportation to show what he has attracted to the State.

Wike listed the faculty of law at the University of Port Harcourt, N500million grant to Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Ignatius Ajuru University of education and UBEC intervention to the State including the massive projects executed across the state under his administration as governor.

He said aside from the projects commissioned to celebrate his third anniversary in office another batch of project commissioning will commence in October and expressed the hope that president Muhammadu Buhari would be invited to commission some of the projects.
