Millions Are Starving Under Buhari’s Administration –Lamido

Alhaji Sule Lamido, former governor of Jigawa State and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant, has lamented that millions of Nigerians are starving under President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Lamido stated this on Wednesday while addressing delegates and supporters of PDP in Bauchi.

According to him, the extent of starvation is worst that people cannot protest against the hike in the prices of essential commodities in the country, contrary to democratic tenets.

Daily independent reports that the former governor accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of bringing untold hardship by introducing anti-people policies.

He also accused APC of fake promises during the electioneering, lamenting that “today, there is high cost of living in all aspects of life, after he pledged to end insurgency, reduce the price of petrol and improve people welfare which all turns out to be blatant lies.

“Buhari and APC told Nigerians lies prior to the 2015 elections and now the people have known better and that will manifest in the 2019 polls,” he said.

Lamido urged Bauchi delegates to elect him as the party’s presidential candidate and prepare to make sacrifices and endure more hardships through threats attack and intimidation that would come from the APC government in their quest to seek for reelection.

“I believe that with patience, perseverance, hard work and determination, PDP will win 2019 presidential election as well as other elective position.

“By God’s grace I will become the President of Nigeria in 2019 and I roll reverse the sufferings of Nigerians,” he said.

Lamido thereby seemed for the support of delegates to elect him as the party’s candidate to enable him defeat Buhari and restore all rules and values of democracy which were destroyed by Buhari.

He described officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Federal Government as thieves, who he said, had deceived and disunited Nigerians along tribes and religious lines.

The former governor accused the present administration being selective in the fight against corruption.

He said: “If you are in PDP they said you are a thief , if you are in APC you are a saint, what kind of justice is this, Governor Samuel Ortom has spent three years governing Benue State, immediately he dumped APC , EFCC begins investigating his administration.”

“We are aware that APC has shielded corrupt personalities that are supporting the APC, if you are in APC all your corruption are forgiven, but if you are in PDP you are a thief.”
