The Executive Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Barr Ben Eke has said his Government is ready to invest in Agriculture by partnering with youths in his domain to promote peace and security.
Barr Ben Eke made this known after the inauguration ceremony of the Peace and security committee at the Local Government Council headquarters, Ahoada.
“Well I will say for now that we have about fifty plots of lands, and we have our youths that are interested in starting their own businesses in terms of agriculture.
“Some two weeks ago, we held a meeting with them, we have asked them to draw up their proposals and we intend to support them no matter how small, so that can they start.
“But then we have our own land where they can start. And we do hope from the Industrial bank, they’ve also written to us. I think in a week’s time or so, we would talk and see how we can also partner to ensure that the youths get some support, from both the Council and the bank.
