APC candidate, Dickens Worlu, has won the Saturday August 18 PHALGA Constituency 3 bye-election.
Worlu beat Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Chiemeka Nmerukini, in a heavily contested election that was marred by violence.
The post became vacant after Ihunwo Victor Nyeche vacated the post to contest for the Chairmanship of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
Worlu pledged to keep empowering his people.
He said he has been a grassroot mobilizer all his life, which has sold him to his people and also given him an edge over his opponents.
He promised to hold more town hall meetings with his people adding:”Im not going there to amass wealth.”
