Rivers State Government to commence training of teachers

The Rivers State government has announced the commencement of teachers training in the state.

The State commissioner for education, Hon. Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, disclosed this to newsmen on Friday.

He said about one thousand teachers drawn from the twenty-three local government areas of the state are expected to be trained for the 21st-century educational skills, adding that the training will commence from the 6th to 31st of August this year.

The commissioner said that teachers to be trained include primary, Junior secondary and secondary school teachers respectively.

He said that teachers can apply online via www.tech.creek.ng.

The commissioner said that the selected teachers from the 23 local government will be informed accordingly.
