Killings: Apostle Eugene Ogu asks Buhari to resign

The incessant killings in the country and the president Buhari’s inabilities to curtail them has continued to generate criticism in and outside the country.

The Presiding Bishop of Abundant Life Evangel Mission, Port Harcourt, Apostle Eugene Ogu has called for the resignation of President Buhari for his show of weakness in ensuring the safety of the citizens of the country.

Apostle Eugene Ogu who stated this during an interview with Journalists in Port Harcourt said one of his workers was killed recently in Jos, during the Fulani Herdsmen attack on three villages that left scores of people dead.

“The Government is answerable to the Killings, and it’s obvious the Government has failed. And The excuses they give now is no longer acceptable.

“I think it will be a mark of honour for any government that has failed, to take the path of honour by resigning.

“We all saw the efforts of Mr President when his son had an accident. He should demonstrate the same towards the killing of innocent Nigerians across the country.

“I am coming from Jos. One of my staff has been killed. He was shot beyond recognition in his own hometown.

“We want to see those people who are responsible for it being arrested and being made to face the law.

Apostle Eugene Ogu also said the panacea to the problems facing the nation is for citizens to be detribalized, saying that the choice of security Chiefs from one part of the country by President Buhari is responsible for the breakdown in security in the country.
